A Day in the Life at VoiceBase

8:37 AM

Kick-Starting the Day!

We believe positive morning routines are important, as it sets the tone for your entire day. Mornings here usually start with conversations in the kitchen, or walking to a nearby coffee shop.

9:00 AM

Brain Dumps

Once a week we have an educational meeting to discuss a unique skill set or topic mastered by one of the members of the team. The goal of these meetings is to make our team stronger as a whole, allowing members to question and brainstorm in an open and conversational environment.

9:56 AM

Cube Time

Some of our team has gotten really into rubik’s cubes. After working in Photoshop for a few hours our marketing team loves to take a break from designing for a little cube time.

10:25 AM

Team Meeting

As a start-up communication is key, a few times a week we sync up between teams to keep everyone aligned on our key business initiatives.

12:00 PM

Engineers Walk to Lunch

If you work out of our San Francisco office, you will notice our engineers are a close-knit group. Everyday members of the team walk to local eateries in the city to enjoy lunch.

2:07 PM

Whiteboard Sessions

Developers, Sales, and Marketing all participate in the execution of our products and brand identity. These teams will regularly congregate around a whiteboard to write lists, and visualize ideas. This helps nurture a collaborative company attitude, allowing employees to ask why, or why not, on a regular basis.

3:30 PM

Sales Engineers go to Lunch

Our Sales Engineers not only work unique hours, but take their lunch breaks at unique hours as well. They can usually be found near the office in Downtown Campbell at El Guapo’s Restaurant enjoying a late lunch.

5:00 PM

Ping Pong

The workday is coming to an end and the caffeine from the morning coffee has officially worn off. Ping Pong is a big part of our company culture, and thus it is not uncommon to find members of the team engaging in a few (semi-competitive) matches.

9:00 PM

Sales Engineers Finish Late Night Coding

At least once a week the Sales Engineers code well into the evening; whether it is integrating our API with new partners, assisting customers or building tools to improve the developer experience.

10:50 PM

QA Meetings

While our Head of Quality Engineering is California-based, part of the team is based out of India. Since finding a common time during each respective workday is difficult, group meetings are scheduled in the evenings (PST), to allow for updates on individual tasks and group projects.
